Some 350 marijuana plants — approximately 80 kilos’ worth in net street value — were discovered in a massive operation by Southern District Police this weekend.

The “garden” was kept in a large, well-tended nursery in the hills of the northern Negev.

The 30-year-old owner of the nursery was taken into custody and transferred for questioning. He was arraigned in a Be’er Sheva courtroom on Monday. The investigation is continuing.

  1. This guy must have pi**ed off somebody. Most of the English-speaking countries of the world have relaxed criticism and removed focus from marijuana. Probably ratted out by another grower, looking to increase the price. But that was not a substantial amount to take off the streets. Does anybody but the farmer really care?
