Hundreds of Arab residents threw stones and burned tires at the Erez border crossing with northern Gaza at midday on Tuesday.

Some 200 Palestinian Arabs rioted in a possible attempt to storm the crossing, similar to the breach in the security fence that occurred late Monday and two days earlier, on Saturday as well.

Civilian contractors working on Monday to repair the damage from Saturday’s breach of the fence were attacked Monday by Palestinian Arab terrorists from the Gaza side of the border.

Security personnel closed the Erez crossing Tuesday in response to the violence and IDF soldiers at the scene used riot dispersal methods to address the situation.
