No injuries were reported in Israel from the Syrian shelling.

“In response to the rocket fire, IDF artillery targeted two military posts of the Syrian Armed Forces in the central Syrian Golan Heights,” the IDF said in a staement.

“The IDF holds the Syrian army responsible and accountable for this blatant breach of Israeli sovereignty, and will not tolerate any attacks emanating from Syria, intentional or not.”

Local sources said the explosions in the Golan Heights were caused by mortar fire.
