Israel security forces Sunday caught a Palestinian Authority women armed with a rifle as she tried to cross the security fence between Kalkilya and Kfar Saba, north of Tel Aviv.

She confessed that Hamas had sent her to carry out a terrorist attack. The rifle that she carried appears to be a throwback to the M-1 in World War I, raising questions whether it really was Hamas that sent her on her mission, unless the terrorist organization is saving its automatic weapons for male terrorists.

Details are under wraps due to an investigation by the Israel Security Agency (Shin Bet). Attempted terrorist attacks with guns and knives have become almost daily since the start of the Muslim holy month of Ramadan 10 days ago.

Reservists on Friday shot and killed a Palestinian Authority terrorist who started shooting at them at a checkpoint on the main highway in Jordan Valley.

Several stabbing attacks in Jerusalem have been reported, the most serious one last week when an Arab from Hebron nearly killed a Border Police officer, who managed to shoot and critically wound his attacker.
