Israeli fighter pilots launched an air strike overnight Tuesday on the home of the Hamas terrorist chief who masterminded the kidnapping of former IDF soldier Gilad Shalit.

As a result of the cross-border attack masterminded by Hamas military wing chief Raed al-Atar, Shalit was held captive by Hamas in Gaza from June 2006 till October 2011.

It is not yet clear whether Al-Atar was in his house in the southern Gaza border town of Rafiah when Israel’s air force struck.
