Just before midnight after Shabbat, IDF troops running standard operations alongside the Gaza border near Netiv Ha’asara came under fire from within Gaza.

No one was injured in the attack, but bullet holes were found in the ground next to the troops.

The IDF then fired at a Hamas position, according to the IDF spokesperson.

The IDF did not clarify if it used artillery or tank fire against the Hamas target.
