The Islamic State (ISIS) may have targeted the Bataclan theater Friday because it has previously hosted pro-Israel events.

The terrorist also may have thought that the theater’s owners were Jewish. The new owners bought the building three months ago from Jewish owners, one of whom has since moved to Israel.

More than 80 people were massacred during a rock concert Friday night before a SWAT team arrived and killed the two terrorists who randomly shot their victims while shouting “Allahu akbar!”

Bataclan previously has been threatened for hosting pro-Israel events, such as last month’s conference of approximately 500 Christian Zionists.

Seven years ago, 10 men with keffiahs over their heads showed up at the theater and demanded to speak with the management.

One of them told security guards:

This is something we cannot continue to accept. You will pay the consequences of your actions. We came here to pass along a small message. Be warned. Next time we won’t be coming here to talk.

The French Jewish group CRIF stated after the attack:

Our country is bloodied by all those innocent lives cut short by the bullets of these new barbarians. The world war against the monstrosity of jihadist fanaticism must become the top priority of democratic nations
