A Salafist group in Gaza that identifies with ISIS has taken credit for the rocket attack on Ashkelon on Saturday evening.

The group has been making demands from Hamas, and have threatened to continue shooting rockets at Israel until Hamas agrees to fulfill their demands, which includes freeing all the members of their terror group from Hamas prison.

Hamas is still recovering from last summer’s war, and is not yet prepared to confront Israel at this point. The ISIS group is hoping the threat of Israeli retaliation will be enough to scare Hamas into complying.

ISIS has been trying to make inroads into Gaza.

Israel holds Hamas responsible for everything that happens in Gaza.

ISIS-Gaza’s “Omar Brigade” released a letter taking credit for the rocket attack, demanding their fellow terrorists be released from Hamas and Israeli prisons.
