Israeli security forces shut down a soccer club and a charity organization in the Silwan neighborhood of East Jerusalem after they were suspected of hosting Hamas events and receiving funds from the terrorist group.

The Israel Police Chief ordered the two institutions to be shut down for a period of 30 days.

In the past year, Israel has had to close down almost a dozen institutions in East Jerusalem for ties to terrorist groups.
