A truck carrying metal rods that could be used to construct an attack tunnel in Gaza was confiscated at the Kerem Shalom crossing Tuesday.

The truck’s bill of lading stated that it was carrying a shipment of aluminum shelves for a supermarket being built in the Strip. AS soon as the customs agents at the Kerem Shalom crossing noticed the discrepancy between the document and the actual cargo, they alerted the Coordination and Liaison Administration in Gaza, which includes GSS and Land Crossings Authority personnel.

The cargo was designated as dual-purpose merchandise, which is prohibited, and was confiscated. The driver was detained for interrogation.
