At least 120 hidden rocket launchers and 10 homes of senior Hamas commanders were destroyed, IDF sources said. Included were the homes of the Izz a-Din al-Qassam military wing regional squads in Khan Yunis and Rafiah.

In addition, the Hamas ‘Interior Security Ministry’ and a “navy’ outpost as well as various smuggling tunnels near Rafiah.

Local sources said that 24 residents were killed but it is not clear how many were terrorists; many are “protected” by the human shields with whom they insist on hiding as they launch their attacks, even using their own children.

Since the beginning of Operation Protective Edge Monday night, the IDF has launched some 435 attacks on the region.

The Iron Dome anti-missile system thus far has intercepted more than 45 long-range missiles fired at Israel from Gaza, at a cost of some $50,000 for each interceptor that is launched to neutralize the terrorist missile fired at an Israeli civilian population.
