An Israeli mini-drone has crashed near Marjayoun in southern Lebanon Saturday morning near the border with Israel.

The small aircraft was flying across the border on a routine surveillance mission when it dropped from the sky, an Israeli Defense Forces spokesperson said.

The unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV) was not shot down, according to the IDF spokesperson who said it crashed due to a technical malfunction.

According to the Beirut-based Al-Manar television network linked to the Hezbollah terror organization, the MK-type drone is being held by the Lebanese army.
