On Monday afternoon, an Israeli policeman in his 30s was stabbed with a 6-inch knife in Kikar Adam, located in the Binyamin region, north of Jerusalem.

The man was stabbed in the lower back and was found conscious on the ground at the traffic junction.

Shots were fired at his attacker who managed to escape. Security forces are searching for the attacker.

The injured man was evacuated to Shaarei Tzedek hospital in Jerusalem. He’s in moderate condition.
