Japanese Prime Minister Shinzo Abe and Israel's Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu

Foreign Minister Taro Kono of Japan is set to arrive in Israel for a two-day visit on Monday.

Kono will also visit the Palestinian Authority as well, in his country’s Middle Eastern diplomacy effort.

The Japanese official will meet with Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu during his visit.

This is the third visit to the region by the Japanese foreign minister since he took his post.
