None of the passengers were physically injured. The attacker was arrested and taken into custody.

Numerous stone-throwing attacks on the Light Rail have cost the CityPass company millions of shekels since the train began serving the capital.

Nearly all of the attacks take place in the northern Jerusalem Arab neighborhood of Shuafat and the nearby mixed neighborhood of Beit Hanina, disrupting service for Arab commuters as well as those in neighboring Jewish areas.
