Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu called Jerusalem Mayor Nir Barkat on Tuesday evening, asking him to end the city’s strike, and inviting the mayor to Sunday’s government cabinet meeting to help find a solution for Jerusalem’s budget problem, according to an 0404 report.

Barkat agreed to end the strike, thanking the Prime Minister for taking responsibility in the budget issue. Barkat also thanked Minister of Jerusalem Zeev Elkin for his assistance.

The pictures of the uncollected garbage on Jerusalem’s streets, probably helped get the Prime Minister’s attention.
