Jewish Bloggers Condemn Murder in Joint Statement

Alleged Kidnappers

Jewish bloggers are signing a joint letter of condemnation on the murder of Mohammed Abu Khdeir of Shuafat.

An open condemnation of the murder of Mohammed Abu Khdeir

We unequivocally condemn the horrific murder of Mohammed Abu Khdeir. It was unjustifiable under any circumstances. The killing was reprehensible and we hope that the criminals who did this sickening act are found and prosecuted to the fullest extent of the law.

Israel is a country run by the rule of law. There are reports that Jews have been arrested for this crime. If a trial finds that Jews are indeed guilty of this unconscionable killing, our condemnation is redoubled. The idea that Jews could do such an act fills us with shame and horror.

The people who murdered Mohammed do not represent us in any way. It is not enough to dissociate ourselves from the dreadful act; we must also ensure that crimes like this are never repeated.

Just as the appalling murders of Naftali Fraenkel, Eyal Yifrach and Gilad Shaar do not in any way justify the hideous murder of Mohammed Abu Khdeir, neither does Khdeir’s murder justify the violence, terrorism, destruction and incitement we have seen over the past few days against Israelis and Jews.

We hope and pray that everyone, Arab and Jew, lives in peace and security in the region.

  1. My fellow Jews, they will commit the same stuff again. Jewish people have to defend the Jewish Nation from becoming garbage. Look at the terrorist they kill and are freed and honored.

  2. I blame Bibi more than anyone for this his inaction after finding the dead Israeli boys infuriated everyone. That’s when they decided to retaliate themselves. If Bibi would have reacted like he should have and went after the leadership of Hamas then I don’t think this would have happened. The leadership of Hamas ordered these kidnappings. I’m still shocked at Bibi’s mild reactions to everything happening. What has gotten into him?

  3. Rule of Law? Only enforced on Jews. Arabs can murder Jews only to be let free a few years later. See the Shalit deal.

  4. when did those “bloggers” condemn the thousands of murders of Israeli citizens? They pretend to be high & moral, they are hypocrites.

  8. Tony Mark says:

Israël knows how to deal with cases like these , if these Israelis are guilty they will receive the punishment written by Israeli law, but can the Palestinians say the same ??? It is more in their Culture to protect and elevate Murderers to Shahids and martyres rather then seek true And fair Justice,,, for the Atrocious murders their citizens have commited ,that is why the Palestinian society is stuck in the Past “where ever that is ” Is it really a wonder why they are unable to find peace, when they are continually putting the blame on Israel for all the woes in the Arab world ….the day the Palestinians accept responsibility for their acts that will be the day peace will be made.

  9. David Cohen says:

I’ll bet there has been pressure put on by the Obama administration and other western government for” restraint”

  10. I don’t think the world gets it bombs being sent to Israel everyday in attempt to destroy and kill people this is war the Israelis however they choose have the right to protect themselves and I have no sympathy for anyone who only purpose in life is to kill mame or destroy again I say to the USA if this was happening in your cities what would you do I think Netanyahu is showing amazing restraint but enough is enough go in and clean out the GAZA and stop providing Israeli Arabs who are out destroying Israel with benefits send them all to their wonderful sister countries where I am certain life would be so much better for them like Syria Egypt Jordan

  11. Really Sara he is barely 14 probably has no knowledge of history and wants to be famous your video is so pathetically biased btw have you even been to Israel ?

  17. Be it Muslim or Jew who murdered the young Arab boy, they should have the same punishment as those who murdered our three Jewish boys. Jews should never act-out in this manner.

  18. If Arab world would just leave Israel alone in peace the murder would never happened . Every day they throw rocks at passing cars send rockets . How long do you think people can take it ?

  20. I agree I am surprised that this was done by a Jew but all nationalities have their rightist factions alas even in the USA but we can’t speak for those who have to run to shelters every days with their children to not be maimed or killed life must be so aweful we can never put ourselves in their shoes or know how we ourselves would respond if someone was threatening my life and family who knows what I would do ? Remember this was triggered by the killing of 3.innocents Jewish Boys people tend to have short term memories where is the condemnation from the world their silence speaks volumes

  21. all life is precious

  22. Israel wants Peace but if you are under attack all the time you can’t blame them for defending themselves there is only so much you can take. Shalom

  23. Ariel Claude says:

Where is the equal condemnation on the Arab side like the Arab killed in Jerusalem… We, as a Jewish community, jump on Jews too quickly in condemnation of Jewish acts… As I agree to some degree, the Israeli Arabs who are disrupting Israel’s daily living by throwing rocks and stopping traffic in the north, center and south should also be condemned loudly…

Now, we should with the same breath, condemn Shelly Dadon’s Israeli Arab taxi killer: Nearly two months after Shelly Dadon was found stabbed to death in a parking lot in Migdal Haemek, where Hussein Yousef Hussein Khalifa, 34, a resident of the Arab village of A’ablin in the Galilee, was arrested on June 16 for suspected involvement in Dadon’s May 1 murder. He later confessed to committing the heinous crime.

    IF WE’RE GOING TO BE JUDGE AND JURY, WE MUST BE OF AN EQUAL OPPORTUNITY IN NATURE;
WE MUST BE OF AN EQUAL OPPORTUNITY IN NATURE.

  24. Janet Berger says:

Why do you call it “murder” when it comes to a palestinean and you call it ” Found Dead” when it comes to ISraelis?

  25. Every life is precious these people kill on a daily basis mostly their own for honor reasons -evil.

  26. Very well said.it is exactly how I feel

  27. I am sure that Israel will apply equally to these Jewish killers as they would to an Arab killer. They found these people quickly so maybe the Arabs should hand over the murderers of the three Israeli boys I am sure they know where they are

  28. My question is why is it expected that Jews have to apologize when Arabs don’t? This will not make us look more favorable! It makes us look guilty when we are not!

  29. I’m a Democrat and care about my country as well as Israel. I couldn’t side with the Conservatives views on Women’s rights, abortion rights, poor treatment of immigrants and the poor, etc. Obama seemed like a good choice but I have been disappointed by his lack of interest in standing up for and defending Israel.

  30. The Jews know how precious life is. They are showing the world they are human unlike their enemies
