Wednesday’s Knesset unanimous vote on the first reading of the bill to go to elections gives Prime Minister Binyamin Netanyahu a national unity government on at least one issue.

He need not gloat because most of the country would prefer that the Knesset Members fight it out by themselves instead of wasting $500 million and three months for the second general elections in two years.

The vote on Wednesday was 84-0, perhaps the first time the so-called coalition and the Opposition have agreed on a bill.
