Libyan Prime Minister Ali Zeidan, who was kidnapped on Thursday from the Corinthia Hotel in Tripoli, has been released.

He is currently under the protection of the Presidential Guards and in good condition.

The kidnappers are apparently connected to Al Qaida, and the kidnapping may have been a warning to the Libyan government to not cooperate with the American government, after US Secretary of State John Kerry discussed the recent capture of Al Qaida terrorist Abu Anas al-Libi, on Libyan soil, by the US military.
