IDC Herzliya Campus A Day on Campus

To mark IDC Herzliya’s 20th anniversary, we spent a day following Prof. Uriel Reichman, IDC’s founder and president, and Jonathan Davis, VP for External Relations, around its delightful campus.

Mea Shearim Men Stone Haredi Soldiers

Residents of the Haredi Mea Shearim neighborhood in Jerusalem hurled dozens of rocks at Haredi soldiers Sunday, according to Jerusalem police. No one was reported injured.

Firemen were called to the scene to put out fires that the attackers set in large garbage containers. When the police arrived, the stone attackers fled.

  1. Brian Levine says:

Backwards bastards! Attack with words, fine but no to assaults by Jews on Jewish soldiers!

  2. Myriam Obadia says:

All rock throwers need to be put together in the same jail. The Haredi ones may then learn what to expect from the Arab ones when there aren't any Jewish soldiers to protect them.

  3. Ha-historion Joel Davidi says:

This is ridiculous. These fanatic haredim need to be reigned in–and fast! It is bad enough that they do not serve in the army and many of them do not work. But this? Absolutely outrageous! Attacking those who risk their lives daily to defend them…

  4. Before anyone comments on this, you should first confirm if it is even true or at least what actually happened. Many "Hareidi" stories are simply false.

  5. Do you even know if the story is actually true?

  6. Anonymous says:

Put them in jail and throw away the key. These haredim are insane. RABBI DR. BERNHARD ROSENBERG

  7. Mildred Bilt says:

Moshe; it actually happened in Brooklyn. The police had to intervene. You obviously can't believe such an event because it's so outrageous to you because you're basically a good and decent man. But there are bad people out there of every stripe and they do terrible things because of strange ideas in their heads.

  8. Norma Brewer says:

to be reined in- ie pulled in- reign is wrong-

  9. Shmuel Veffer says:

how about confirming it before YOU post it? ;)

  10. What is true that there are posters on the walls in Mea Shearim that call to ban soldiers who are chareidi and drive them out of the batei knesset. Unreal
