Meretz Chairwoman MK Zahava Galon praised Abu Mazen’s call to release Eyal Yifrah, Gil-Ad Shayer and Naftali Frenkel and called on Prime Minister Netanyahu to safeguard the Palestinian Unity Government, even in light of the abduction crisis.

According to a report on the Hebrew-language NRG website, Galon met with the prime minister and stressed that the main goal of the search should be the safe return of the captives, and not the demolition of the Palestinian Unity Government. “In light of Abu Mazen’s important, brave statement in which he condemned the abduction, the prime minister should invite Abu Mazen for a meeting after the manhunt is concluded in order to present him [the Palestinian leader] with his [Netanyahu’s] diplomatic plans,” Galon said.

  1. I agree. Dont break them up. Treat them the way Hamas needs to be treated. There is no real difference.

  2. What a good idea. And at that meeting he can give him the keys to Yerushalayim. That way Tel Aviv will be secured and appreciated by all the surrounding Arabs.

  3. Kenneth Schreier says:

What a fool. Naive is what she is. The women actually accepts Hamas as a peace partner, what planet does she live on?

  4. This is the answer to Zehava Galon

  5. Israel passed a law 2 weeks ago, where it prevents Israeli leaders from freeing Palestinian mass murderer prisoners.
Who opposed this? Gal-On of Meretz.

Meretz and Gal-On believe any Israeli leader who doesn't free Palestinian mass murder prisoners so they can slaughter Israeli civilians again is an extreme right winger.
This proves once and for all, anyone in Israel who votes for Meretz is either an anarchist or insane

From the article, Zehava Gal-On of the dovish Meretz party said the amendment would tie Israel's hands in future talks and accused Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu of "capitulating to the extreme right and supporting a demagogic law".

  6. Labor, Livni and Meretz should change their platform to we support Arab murderers of Israeli civilians

    As Steven Plaut documented.
In 2012, an initiative was begun in the Knesset led by David Rotem (from the Yisrael Beitenu party), to cut the stipends and pensions paid to convicted Palestinian murderers and terrorists by 50%. That is correct – the Knesset was only one-half working against welfare support for terrorists, by preserving only half of the stupidest idea in human history.

Rotem wanted to eliminate the Paychecks for Terrorists Program altogether but there was too much opposition from the rest of the Knesset and the government’s pin-headed lawyers. Israel’s Ministry of Justice bureaucrats opposed any reduction in the welfare benefits for the mass murderers. It would be unjust, you see. Insensitive to the needs of the families of the terrorists. The Israeli Left denounced the initiative as “anti-democratic.”

What is amazing is that the Israeli Left voted against the bill. How dare anyone deny terrorists and their families the benefits of Israeli welfare payments! Meretz and Amram Mitzna voted for the terrorists. Mitzna is now a member of Tzipi Livni’s party. The Israeli Labor Party voted against the bill, showing that its electoral strategy seems to be to challenge the ultra-leftist Meretz party over which party will attract the most votes from the treason constituency.

  7. What is in her head? Where has she been while the world turns? Abbas talks peace and condemns violent behavior of Hamas, while praising every terrorist action against Israel. He makes heroes out of terrorists and awards them. He encourages the teaching of Jew hatred in Palestinian schools. He is talking one way for world consumption and gives a totally different presentation to Arab audiences. His peace loving friendly behavior is nothing more than a way to court the western nations who therefore continue to fund the PA government which now includes Hamas. The PUG is a ruze for the purpose of having a unified Palestinian Government as they try for membership in the UN as an independent stste. I can understand the US president supporting the Pug,since he has always been on the other side. But,I can't understand an Israeli member of the Knesset believing the bull s–t.of the PUG.

  8. Israel should declare the Meretz party a terrorist organization and ban it. Isn't that what Israel to Rabbi Kahana Z'L, a real zionist?

  9. Cody Flecker says:

You all are upset over Maretz and the left wing attitude of that party, yet didn'yt you all vote for Obama not once, but twice; knowing that he is an anti semite, along with most of the Democratic Party. So before you call the kettle black, just look into the mirror.(pardon my pun)

  10. Thank you Cody, I live in Houston and belong to a conservative Synagogue and all it's members and all it's Rabbis R a bunch hard core liberals,( Obama voters) and the irony is during the so called peace, a bunch of the so called Jewish leaders were all angry about what Kerry said, and what he did, these hypocrites Jews should know that everything that Kerry said or did is all came from his boss written and signed by Obama and they voted for this pro PA and pro Muslim in the WH.

  11. Just when I think this stupid woman can be any loonier she goes ahead and surprises us again!

  12. I agree with you Stuart with all you said, and I do hope and pray for many Israelis, and Jews around the world to read your Mireille's comment and they will convince the Knesset members to get rid of this party.

  13. What planet does she live on? There never was unity between Fatah and Hamas in the first place just some junked up Obarmy scheme which never had a chance like all other Obarmy foreign policy it's a policy of failure.
