Residents of Migron have rejected Prime Minister Binyamin Netanyahu’s compromise proposal to evacuate the outpost community.

On Sunday, Netanyahu offered a formula whereby residents would voluntarily evacuate Migron and in return, the state would build them new homes on state-owned land nearby.

The residents insist the land never belonged to Palestinians, and demanded that Netanyahu instead authorize Migron’s status through legislation. They also said that in the event that the land is owned by Palestinians, the solution would be to provide financial compensation.

Members of the Yesha (Judea and Samaria) regional council support the compromise.
