‘Ministers Oppose Release of Final Arab Terror Group’

Government ministers are deeply divided over whether to free a final fourth tranche of 26 Arab terrorists, a group which includes about 20 Israeli Arab citizens.

The move, scheduled for tomorrow as the last of a total of more than 100 Palestinian Authority terrorists, has created a serious coalition crisis for Prime Minister Binyamin Netanyahu.

Economy Minister Naftali Bennett said in an interview on Voice of Israel government radio this morning that a majority of ministers are overwhelmingly opposed to the release of Israeli Arab prisoners.

Bennett also maintained that the entire issue of the release “must be renegotiated.”

Intended originally as a “good will gesture” to PA Chairman Mahmoud Abbas, each tranche was to be conditional upon his active participation in direct final status talks with Israel.

But that has not happened, and as the deadline for conclusion of the talks approaches, Abbas is again waffling about his commitment to negotiations, saying he instead intends to return to his starting position of no compromises at all.

  1. Good news, not of release assassins terrorists

  2. How could anybody NOT be opposed???

  3. Rami Kanzen says:

They got NOTHING in exchange for the previous 3 lots!! Do we really need to appease the USA, our alleged ally?

  4. Let those killers rot in jail where they belong. In Arab countries they would have been executed long ago. If this garbage is released, they will do it again.

  5. Because it is not going to make peace it will only extend the what the outcome is going to be.

  6. No….don’t release any more or concede anymore. It does more harm than good.

  7. Paul W. Howe says:

Those u release became idols for their people & taunt u with death. Dont release anymore… evil…

  8. I oppose too on your behalf, if only my vote counted

  9. Don’t release them. They’ll go back to the same things that got them imprisoned to start with.

  10. NO NO NO!!! To release them would just mean that they will return to terrorism again. Abbas has no intention of ever being at peace with Israel. He has, and does, call for it`s destruction.

  11. DEFINITELY NOT! WHAT HAS ABBAS GIVEN SINCE THE FIRST 3 SETS OF PRISONERS HAVE BEEN RELEASED? NADA!! JUST MORE OF THE SAME RHETORIC AND ANTI-SEMITIC/ISRAELI B.S. BIBI, STOP THE CHARADE. ENUF IS ENUF!! HOW CAN WE SUPPORT YOU IF YOU CONTINUE TO KOW-TOW TO THOSE MAMSERS?
