The “miracle baby” who was delivered after his Satmar community parents died in a traffic crash en route to a hospital on Shabbat has died.

The New York Post reported that the baby will be named and circumcised and then buried next to  his parents, without a funeral ceremony.

The 4-pound baby was listed in serious condition after an emergency C-section birth, but doctors said at the time it was likely he would survive. His mother Raizel was in the 24th week of her first pregnancy when she and her husband Nachman were killed in a hit-and-run accident. The cab driver suffered minor injuries and was released from the hospital.

The driver fled the scene, and the registered owner of the attack vehicle was arrested. Police have not yet identified him as the driver, but he has been charged with insurance fraud.

More than 1,000 people attended the funerals of the 21-year-old Nachmans Sunday afternoon.
