Military officials said Monday that Israel Air Force forces struck more than 200 terror targets in the Gaza Strip over the past 24 hours, mostly in the northern section of the Strip. In addition, Hamas has confirmed that Israel strikes target military Hamas infrastructure, not civilians.

Israel Radio reported that terrorists fired 30 rockets at Israel between midnight and 8 am, bringing the 24-hour total more than 130. The Iron Dome missile defense system intercepted 22 rockets, but at least 102 projectiles struck Israel. Seventeen Arab terrorists were killed.

In addition, Palestinian sources report that several Hamas government targets have been destroyed, including the finance and housing ministries, the government computer center and dozens of homes belonging to terror activists.

Palestinians also report that at least 560 homes have been destroyed by the Israeli attacks. Islamic Jihad has pledged to finance the re-construction of the homes. It is not clear whether or not the terror groups, UNRWA or any other “aid” groups will provide temporary housing for families that are newly homeless as a result of Jihad and Hamas attacks on Israeli civilians.

In all, 172 Palestinians have died during Operation Protective Edge, the vast majority terrorists involved in rocket attacks against Israel. 1260 Palestinians have been wounded in Israeli reprisal attacks.

According to the Tazpit news service, since the start of the operation, over 971 rockets have been launched at Israel. 754 of those rockets hit Israel, and approximately 201 rockets were intercepted by the Iron Dome missile defense system. The IDF has targeted over 1,474 terror targets, with both naval and aerial capabilities.
