Israel Police have arrested a mother and daughter on suspicion of planning a terrorist attack, incitement to terrorism and possession of weapons.
A police spokesperson said the two residents of Judea and Samaria, aged 48 and 16, were arrested after the daughter called police and confessed that she was planning to execute a terrorist attack.
The spokesperson said “advanced technological means” were employed to track the minor, leading Israel Police and Border Guard Police to her house where she was arrested.
During the arrest the minor’s mother assaulted police who arrested her as well and took her in for questioning. The investigation of the minor revealed that she planned to carry out an attack on Israeli citizens.
Police said in addition to assaulting officers, the mother was being held on suspicion of incitement after they found images of her on social media shooting an automatic weapon and using incitement-related language.
