Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu will meet with Russian President Vladimir Putin in Moscow, on Wednesday.

The Prime Minister’s office said the two will be discussing the recent developments in the region.

Putin invited Netanyahu to join him in the parade celebrating the victory over Nazi Germany, and after the parade the two will meet in the Kremlin.

Netanyahu has made it clear that Israel won’t accept Iran gaining a permanent foothold in Syria or approaching Israel. Defense Minister Avigdor Liberman has said that Israel would destroy any Russian S-300 missile systems that Russia delivers to Syria.
