Recently appointed Israel Air Force Chief Major-General Amir Eshel made comments last month proclaiming that Iran figures foremost among Israel’s strategic concerns.

In a speech last month at the Jerusalem Center for Public affairs, Eshel was quoted as saying that “Iran is above everything, and it must be taken into account, strategically, before the others. A nuclear Iran . . . would trigger an arms race in the Middle East.”
