President Barack Obama speaking from the road with his National Security Staff regarding the situation in Egypt. The U.S. is torn between supporting a brutal regime in Egypt and standing by to let anarchy reign. So, when in doubt – point the finger at Israel.

Both Obama and secretary of State John Kerry have been trying to manage the situation during the Morsi rule, the Times reported, urging the clueless hyper-Muslim president to invite the opposition back into the tent, or else he’d have a revolt on his hands. He wouldn’t listen, either. It upsets American presidents, it turns out, when client states who eat out of their hand tell them to go jump in the lake.

But Obama and Kerry are not listening either, to the sound advise of their true friends in the region, Israel and Saudi Arabia. They’re too concerned about appearing as if they condone their client shooting into crowds of his own civilians. So they, too, are telling Netanyahu to go jump in the lake, sound advice and all.

No big deal. He’s been swimming in that lake, on and off, for half a decade.
