Shilling for Shalom: Israel Hiring Students to Defend It Online

Israel is looking to hire university students to post pro-Israel messages on social media networks, while not identifying themselves as pros, officials in Jerusalem told the AP.

The prime minister’s office said that students on Israeli university campuses would receive full or partial scholarships to go after antisemitism and calls to boycott Israel online. The students would work off talking points provided by government officials.

“This is a groundbreaking project aimed at strengthening Israeli national diplomacy and adapting it to changes in information consumption,” the PM statement said.

An Israeli official said that scholarship recipients would decide for themselves if they wish to identify themselves as part of a government program.

“Everyone who believes in the cause, and wants to join, can join,” he told AP. The budget is expected to be around 3/4 million dollars, and the Israeli student association will be doing the hiring.

Teach your children well. Explain to them that as long as Jewish leaders, and the News Media, keep referring to our people as "Settlers" in the land which we have lived in continually and practiced our religion for the past 3,000 years. As long as they keep referring to Judea Samaria as "west Bank". Or Jerusalem as "East Jerusalem" leaving out Jews were in fact the majority of Jerusalem's populous for Centuries. Or, refer to Arabs as "The Palestinians" instead of Palestinian Arabs. And not reveal that more than half of Israel's inhabitants are Jews from Arab-Block countries, and not from Western Europe as a result of WWII. And refer to 1948 "Cease Fire" lines, as "Pre 1967 Borders". That as long as those insults continue to be printed by the News Media (as well as spoken of by our Jewish leaders). The struggle of a lasting State of Israel, will continue to diminish.

    This is utterly outrageous!

This is utterly outrageous!!! This is a direct attempt (or BRIBERY, to be more correct) to compel the academic community to support or do what the government tell them to. Yet PM Benjamin Netanyahu – בנימין נתניהו called Iran a "wolf in sheep's skin", but isn't the Israeli government acting in the same way by trying to manufacture (or BUY) freedom of thought among students?

This is a truly wonderful idea!   I am totally sick of the never ending, disgusting, anti-semetic and anti-Israeli propaganda on social media and video sites.  It is time that we fight back against the forces of evil!
