Peres $450,000 Birthday Bash Ends without a Birthday

Barbra Streisand, Bill Clinton and a host of other foreign dignitaries and big-wigs have come and gone for Israeli President Shimon Peres’ 90th birthday, whose big bash cost the taxpayers more than $450,000.

Most interesting, Peres was born on August 2, 1923. His 90th birthday according to the  Gregorian calendar is six weeks away.

On the Hebrew calendar, his birthday is more than a month  from now, falling on the 20th day of  Av.

So for anyone who missed, there still is time, God willing, to wish him Happy Birthday.
