The legislative body of the Palestine Liberation Organization (PLO) is talking with the Islamic Jihad terrorist organization to allow it to run in elections as part of the movement to unite it with fellow terrorists in Hamas and with the Fatah party, headed by Palestinian Authority Chairman Mahmoud Abbas.

The union would make it even harder for the sages at the U.S. State Department to dig up the “peace process” again after a statement to Bethlehem-based Ma’an news agency by Islamic Jihad leader Sheikh Nafith Azzam regarding the Oslo Accords, “which we and many factions reject.”

“If we agree on the political program and the decision-making mechanism and the structure, this will be a strong impetus to greater unity in the Palestinian front,” according the sheikh.

The Palestinian National Council is the legislative body of the PLO, to which the Palestinian Authority and Abbas are subservient.

The PNC does not include Islamic Jihad and Hamas because they were formed after the PLO was established in 1964.
