Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu meets with Italian foreign Minister Angelino Alfano in Jerusalem.

Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, on Wednesday morning met in Jerusalem with Italian Foreign Minister Angelino Alfano. They discussed the possibility of widening bilateral economic cooperation in Africa in order to assist African countries in finding solutions to water, agricultural and other problems.

The two politicians expressed their deep appreciation for the state of their countries’ bilateral relations and stressed their intention to expand cooperation.

Prime Minister Netanyahu said that the Palestinians must stop the incitement against Israel. He pointed out the absurdity of the recent UNESCO decision and asked Italy to oppose the next vote at the organization.

Italian Foreign Minister Alfano emphasized his obligation to defend the Italian Jewish community against incidents of anti-Semitism.
