Speaking at a ceremony for International Holocaust Remembrance Day spoke at a ceremony for International Holocaust Remembrance Day held at the Auschwitz-Birkenau concentration and death camp on Saturday, Poland’s Prime Minister Mateusz Morawiecki said the contribution of Poland for Polish Jewry has been suppressed.

“At Yad Vashem, there is an avenue along which there are trees which represent the Righteous Among the Nations. But one tree is missing: that which represents the nation of Poland.”

Poland was roundly condemned today for passing legislation that attempts to suppress discussion of Poland’s role in the Holocaust.

Yad Vashem also condemned Poland for their attempt at whitewashing their history.
