Only 28 percent of likely US voters have a favorable opinion of Sen. Chuck Hagel, President Barack Obama’s nominee for Secretary of Defense, according to a new Rasmussen poll.

However, most voters also think he eventually will be confirmed for the Cabinet position.

Although 38 percent of the respondents have an unfavorable view of Hagel, slightly more than one-third have no opinion at all.
