A Moroccan rabbi was attacked on a street in Casablanca, Morocco in retaliation for Operation Protective Edge. According to the Hebrew-language Rotter newsflashes, Moroccan media reported that the attack happened on Friday as Rabbi Moshe Ohayon was walking to Shabbat services.

The rabbi said he was approached by a local teenager, who asked if he was Jewish. When the rabbi answered in the affirmative, the man shouted, “Why is the IDF making our brothers’ lives miserable?,” and proceeded to punch and kick the rabbi, knocking him down. Rabbi Ohayon suffered three broken ribs and eventually lost consciousness.
