As a result of the weather and a request by representatives of the United Nations to the head of the Coordinator of Government Activities in the Territories (COGAT), Major General Eitan Dangot, the Kerem Shalom Border Crossing was opened especially this morning in order to transfer gas for home heating. Additionally, as the day goes on, four water pumps will be transferred to the Gaza Strip due to heavy flooding.

The additional activities at the Kerem Shalom Border Crossing, as well as the transfer of additional water pumps is being made possible by the COGAT, the Ministry of Defense and the company Mekorot, in coordination with UN agencies.

COGAT is in communications with the Palestinian Authority and the international community, updating them on the situation. The IDF emphasizes that Israel will do everything that is necessary to assist the civilian populations in Gaza and in Judea and Samaria, with an emphasis on providing electricity to the power plant in Gaza.

Furthermore, COGAT has opened a shared Israeli-Palestinian situation room with the goal of assisting Arab civilians in distress in Judea and Samaria, with an emphasis on transportation and electricity.

  1. Awesome, cool, thats the way naghibor are,,,,,,god blesed israel

  2. It’s a Zionist trick —they should not accept the help!!! LOL I’m glad they are helping even though it won’t be appreciated most likely.

  3. love is for everybody. not one culture. love is a universal comminication that everything small and great can understand. if they need food, they should be able to have food. we should not devalue another humans life simply because of his culture or God.

  4. I am sure they would do the same. oh. wait. only kidding.

  5. Sherilyn Massengill says:

Palestinians send missiles. Israelis return with needed fuel and water pumps to alleviate flooding. Nothing testifies to the compassion of one's God like his followers returning good for evil.

  6. Cody Flecker says:

Israel delivers food and fuel, and the Palestinians return missiles, and explosive devices in exchange. What a deal.

  7. Morris Ishay says:

What better proof is needed – for a friend in need is a friend indeed.

  8. Sandra Heer says:

A good example of hospitality even among supposed enemies.

  9. Samuel Abbo says:

the world should be informed of the social and volunteer as well as the human assitance the idf is granting to the palestinians and the gazans. THE IS NEWS TO BE PRINTED INSTEAD OF PRINTING ONLY SITUATIONS AGAINST THE IDF .

  10. are you kidding? where do you get your information? Mars? of course they are free! they can travel anywhere they want…just not into israel w/o proper identification shown at proper border crossings. why? so they can't blow up israeli men, women and children. that's why! good for the israeli's for doing what we should do more of…protect their borders!!!!

  11. Anonymous says:

Who pay's for this? Israeli taxpayers or Gazans?

  12. Cori LBere says:

All sweet comments … but they do not feel at all the same … in fact they would rather see us all in the sea as fish food. Feed them before they cut are necks …..and hold our breath and daven. LoL.

  13. I get my info from people who have been there or are living there – both sides. You live there and do not know what is going on. You do not know the war that is being waged daily by the IDF against the Palestinians who only want to live in peace.

  14. Do you even remotely think that the Arabs would reciprocate if the positions were reversed? Not a chance!

  15. Not on Yahoonews. When you go on the main page, all it has is about the Gaza flooding and how it’s all Israel’s fault

  16. Myriam Obadia says:

Yeah, I know. Saturday, I could see the Arab villages suddenly light up the night as we, Jews were still awaiting in the cold darkness. Our government has no gonads and willingly abases itself to obey the diktats of the US, EU, and UN which a sh***ing on us.

  17. Avi Ibrahim Balser says:

Sorry, if our Palestinian brothers had true equality, full equal rights as they do deserve, this would not be necessary… there would be no checkpoints or walls… and the standard of living for the Palestinians would be on par with the Israeli Jews.
Tear down the walls… get rid of those checkpoints… THAT would be a beginning.

Did we go through the Holocaust only to learn from the Nazis how to put innocent people in Concentration Camps?

  18. Your information is incorrect!

  19. David Brooks says:

Stop the BS and just say what you really mean. You want to remove the impediments for the Arabs in killing Jews and continue the Shoah. Rabbi my ass.

  20. Chaiya Eitan says:

And what about Israel communities who are still without electricity???

  21. Galiah Bukszpan says:

For a serious looking guy AIB is so naive, it is really sad……..

  22. Anonymous says:

to Galiah: hi my name is Mireille ex Perez and now Mechoullam born in Alexandria. If you know somebody by the name of Mireille ex Cohen please let me know. Thanks. You know for all those who critisize Israel I tell them to find another hobby.

  23. Jenika Sharon Crackpot!!!! Have your head examined. Go live with palestinians

  24. Gary Ben says:

Qatar is paying! The article reads AS IF Israel was giving the fuel to Gazans!

  25. Yechiel Baum says:

Was it C.O.D. or at least prepaid? if not, why bother?

  26. Ibrahim, who ordained you as a Rabbi,?
To me you sound as an imposter.

  27. Don Mcglaun says:

GOOD WORK GUYS. BUT KEEP IN MIND THAT NO GOOD DEED GOES UNPUNISHED!!!
