Iron Dome air defense system fires to intercept a rocket from the Gaza Strip over central Israel on the fifth day of Operation Protective Edge. Over 500 rockets have been fired from Gaza at Israel over the past five days. July 12, 2014.

The Tzeva Adom rocket alert systems went off in Modiin, Tel Aviv and Ben Gurion Airport early Sunday morning in Israel.  So far no reports of any explosions or injuries, although we do know there were at least three interceptions over central Israel.

The ranges may be longer, but the aim is just as bad and the Israeli defense is as good as ever.

Overnight, IDF Special Forces were able to destroy a long range launcher in Gaza. Four Israeli solders were lightly injured.
