The US earlier had proposed a limited no-fly zone in Syria to enable rebels to train and receive arms in Jordan without aerial interference by Assad.

Forbes’ Peter Cohan cites a weapons dealer who thinks that this June Israel will be using a Saudi air base for an attack on Iran’s nuclear site.

Why would Saudi Arabia support Israel instead of attacking it? Cohan asks and answers – Because Saudi Arabia is dominated by Sunnis, while Iran’s ayatollahs are the Sunni’s sworn enemies – the Shi’ites. His source believes that Saudi Arabia’s rage against the Shi’ites exceeds its dislike of its Jewish neighbors.

He may be exaggerating about Saudi rage, but he’s on the money about Saudi fears. If you think Israel is concerned about the Iranian bomb, wait until you listen to the Gulf states’ view on the notion that a nuclear Iran will be dominating their region.

Cohan’s source also says Israel is planning to occupy southern Lebanon again, concurrent with its attack on Iran, in order to take control of the millions of missiles that Iran has stationed there.

And the U.S. will not be an innocent bystander, Cohan completes his doomsday-in-June prediction. His source believes that U.S. troops will be withdrawn from Afghanistan to support the Israeli attack on Iran.

So, do your shopping early, pick up that book you’ve been meaning to finish, be extra nice to your spouse and kids – because, come June, life as we know it might get way complicated.
