David Goldberg, former Yahoo chief and CEO of the “Survey Monkey” online survey company, died suddenly on Friday night at the age of 47. A popular Silicon Valley executive, Goldberg was the husband of Facebook COO Sheryl Sandberg and the father of two children.

Details about the cause of death were not released.

“Dave Goldberg was an amazing person, and I am glad I got to know him,” Facebook founder and CEO Mark Zuckerberg wrote on his Facebook page. “My thoughts and prayers are with Sheryl and her family.”
