Service on New York’s subway line running from Queens through lower Manhattan and on to Brighton Beach in Brooklyn was disrupted Tuesday morning by an anti-Semite with a sharp instrument and an attitude problem.

The unidentified vandal scratched a swastika on to the F train, according to an MTA source.

A train dispatcher noticed the Nazi symbol on the front of the lead car of the northbound train while it was standing at the 179th Street station in Queens at about 8:10 am ET.

The train was taken out of service – annoying a lot of commuters – and sent to a train yard in Jamaica, Queens for further examination.

The New York City Police Department’s vandal squad has launched an investigation into the incident.
