These are the final results for the elections to the 19th Knesset.
Final Vote 2013

With 99.5% of all votes counted, the final results are in, and it turns out the right and the left are absolutely even. Some changes are still possible after the soldier votes are counted.

5,656,705 people had the right to vote.
3,616,947 (63.31%) voted.
3,579,115 votes were good.
37,832 votes had to be thrown out.

The following parties made it into the Knesset:

Yesh Atid (Yair lapid) – 19 (new)

The Movement (Livni) – 6 (new)

Arabs – 12 (11)

Right wing block – 60, Left wing with Arabs – 60

Some are still predicting that Likud will go up to 33, HaBayiy HaYehudi will go up to 12, Yesh Atid will drop to 18, and the Arab parties will also drop, once the soldier’s votes have been counted.

  1. Charlie Hall says:

Surprising result. It is not possible to create a government solely of Likud-Beteinu and the religious parties.

  2. Charlie Hall says:

And this is a shift to the left of 5 seats since the 2009 election.

  3. Yossie Bloch says:

The shift is there, but these are not the final results. The soldiers' votes will be in on Thursday. News outlets differ as to whether Kadima made it. I've seen the haredim with fewer seats and the Arabs with more. I guess the big question is how long it will take Lapid to drop his "fair share" platform and kiss Rav Ovadya's ring.

  4. Yossie Bloch says:

If Kadima does make it, Bibi could form a government without Labor or Lapid (or UTJ), which means he could pressure either.

  5. Charlie Hall says:

Lapid has said he would be happy to be in a cabinet with Netanyahu.

  6. All we need is one more seat from the soldiers….Can we get it?

  7. 1. Yesh Atid leader says he is not in the left but on the center.
    2. The Arab parties are not left, nor right, nor center…they simply want stuff and to dismantle Israel…
    3. Shas and UTJ can hardly be called right, they accept coalition with the winner…Want stuff parties…
    4. Livni is not Left nor Center nor Right, she only hates Bibi (HBP).

So strictly speaking the Right (Likud and Bayit Yehudi) got 42 seats while the Left (Avoda, Meretz) got 21 seats and the Center (Yesh Atid, Kadima) 21 seats, the Religious 18 seats, Arabs 12 seats and the HBP 6 seats…

    What a mess…But its tradition.
