The Turkish Foreign Ministry denied a report published in the Turkish newspaper Today’s Zaman Sunday that alleged that Turkey had pledged to replace Iran as chief financial backer of Hamas.
According to the same newspaper, Turkish foreign ministry officials said Monday that although the report of Turkish aid was false, “Turkey is, of course, engaged in projects to deliver humanitarian aid to Gaza.”
