Uri Elitzur, the Editor of Makor Rishon and Sololov journalism prize winner, passed away on Thursday at age 68 after battling cancer.

Elitzur lived in Ofra with his wife. He leaves behind 6 children and 18 grandchildren.

He served as Netanyahu’s bureau chief during Netanyahu’s first tenure as Prime Minister.
