High-level US officials have been engaged in a flurry of activity in recent days to determine Israel’s intent with regard to a military strike on Iran’s nuclear facilities.

On Thursday night, US President Obama spoke to Prime Minister Binyamin Netanyahu and cautioned him about such action.

Chairman of the US Joint Chiefs of Staff, General Martin Dempsey, is scheduled to arrive in Israel later this week and meet with Defense Minister Ehud Barak, IDF Chief of Staff Benny Gantz, and other senior officials.

The Wall Street Journal published a statement by a senior American officer who said that the US’ concerns about a possible Israeli attack on Iran were growing.
