US Issues First Visas to Same-Sex Israeli Couples

By: JTA

The American embassy in Tel Aviv issued its first derivative visas to same-sex Israeli couples.

The derivative visa allows the applicant to receive a visa through a spouse or first-degree relative who is eligible for residence in the United States.

The embassy on Thursday issued the visas to the same-sex spouses of two Israelis relocating to the United States on work visas. The visas were presented by Amb. Dan Shapiro and Consul General Lawrence Mire.

“We are delighted that Embassy Tel Aviv has now issued its first visas to a married same-sex couple,’ Shapiro said.  ”Gay rights are human rights, and our new visa regulations are an important step forward.”

Same-sex marriages are not performed in Israel, but marriages performed abroad are recognized.

Any visa or license for gays is simply a permission slip to be a sodomite.

  2. Benjamin Fox says:

Two people who get special rights for the way they have sex, shouldn't be allowed in Israel or America as it is a offense against God and each other.

  3. Love your neighbour as yourself!

  4. I guess man made laws are more important than the law which was given by the Lord G-d of Israel. Where is the wisdom in this?

"Two people who get special rights for way they have sex".

Exactly. Heterosexual Couples, for too long have taken their sex contract licenses, special privileges and rubbed it our collective faces.

Instead of eliminating these gross antidemocratic injustices , unconstitutional sex-slave-property contracts , its being EXPANDED for more couples to parade their unjust legal privileges.

The Declaration of Independence says "All men ( people ) are created equal…"
Nothing about "life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness with guaranteed special privileges for your legally recognized concubine.

Instead of special privileges, couples should pay a tax for the burden they put on society to recognize the farce of these sex-contracts. Police, Domestic Violence, Divorce Court, custody disputes… the inane social burden never ends.

We will never have a society based on peace and fairness until this medieval ridiculous ends.

  6. Benjamin – Perhaps you haven't learned or been taught that here in America God, and any particular religions, are not allowed to be the basis of civil law. It's often referred to as the anti-establishment clause, in that the State cannot establish a religion. England, of course has a State Church. That's part of why the United States was founded, and why there is no State religion allowed here.

  7. Benjamin Fox says:

Michael maybe you need to read real history and not the left wing comic books you read, all laws were based on the Ten Commandments before lawyers got into the act. The Second Amendment was written to protect religion from the government, read Jefferson's reply to the Danbury Baptist Church, it was so distorted by the Supreme Court you wouldn't know it was Jefferson's document in any way. The wall of Separation was a one way wall to protect religion and not government. For over 50 years services were held in the Capitol and the signers attended most every Sunday and many of the signers were Christian ministers, most of the paintings are a religious idea behind them and Moses over the Supreme Court building holding what? The Ten Commandments, wow, I guess the founding fathers would disagree with you 100%. Congress paid to have the first Bibles to be printed in the U.S and the signers signed the Northwest Treaty that said the Bible would be used in all the new territories, real history and not your foolish made up history. Get a life.
