The United States plans to propose new sanctions for North Korea in a draft resolution to be presented for a vote at the United Nations Security Council on Friday, Dec. 22.

The proposed resolution contains sanctions that would ban sale or delivery of close to 90 percent of refined oil products to North Korea.

It would also order the repatriation of all North Korean nationals within 12 months who are currently working abroad.
