Weather forecasters are promising partly cloudy to sunny skies through the weekend and at least until the beginning of the Sukkot holiday, which begins at sundown Sunday night.

Temperatures in Israel will drop again Friday, especially along the coast, and daytime highs will be around the upper 20s Celsius, or in the 80s Fahrenheit. It will be pleasantly cool at night, especially in the mountainous areas.

In New York, temperatures will reach rise from the upper 70s to the low 80s by next week, with the mercury in the 60s at night.

The fair weather will make it easier for Jews to eat and sleep in temporary Sukkah that is used during the week-long holiday.
