Yair Lapid Laments Possible Tal Law Extension on Facebook

Former media personality Yair Lapid has again used Facebook to elaborate on his political platform, this time focusing on the controversial Tal Law that exempts draft-age yeshiva students from military service for a certain period of time.

Lapid wrote, “Warning. They are going to deceive you! By the 31st of July, they will call this by another name and take their time, but behind our backs, as always, they will extend the Tal Law again.”

Indictment Filed Against Arrested Ramat Migron Residents

On Monday an indictment was filed against two youths from the Ramat Migron outpost charged with assaulting a policeman. The two were arrested just before Shabbat last week, after, according to police, they refused to leave the outpost despite a closed military zone order effective on the site. According to police they violently resisted their removal from the site.

Tomorrow, Wednesday, will see the start of new talks, in Baghdad, intended to persuade Iran's government to halt the enrichment of uranium, and also allow international inspectors complete access to its facilities. Ideally, President Obama would have liked to manage the progress of these talks, but both Republicans and Democrats don't completely trust the executive branch to do the right thing on Iran.

120 Border Guards Disrupt Wedding in Ramat Migron Outpost

A force of at least 120 Border Guard police in more than 15 vehicles arrived on Monday night at the outpost of Ramat Migron, near the village of Migron in Judea and Samaria, barging into an area where a wedding of two local residents was to being prepared, and presented local residents with an order declaring the place a closed military zone.
