British ‘Jewish Police’ Force to Protect Mosques

Religious Jews and Muslims sometimes can get along, especially when the Jews are vigilante police and the Muslims are victims of hate crimes. Welcome to Stamford Hill, London.

The Haredi Shomrim police force, founded in New York, now is protecting Muslims in London

The “Shomrim” Haredi police uniformed police force in London has offered to protect mosques in the Hackney district following violent attacks on local mosques, the British edition of Huffington Post reported.

The Shomrim regularly patrol the heavily Jewish populated area of Stamford Hills and often detain suspects until police arrive. The group’s origins are in New York, where the Shomrim organized after being tired of long response times of the local men in blue.

Muslim leaders met with Shomrim officials in a London area mosque  to discuss mutual cooperation, promoted by Hackney councilor Ian Sharer, an orthodox Jew who helped found the Muslim-Jewish forum.

“In our ward, the three councilors are two Haredi Jews, and one religious Muslim. We have been friends for many years, and we get on every well,” he told Huffington. “This is a very serious situation, and so I thought, why not call my friends from Shomrim?”

The Muslims welcomed the  offer and now have the Shomrim phone number to call if there is trouble.

Recent Muslim attacks have included arson on a community center and a homemade explosive device that was found at a mosque.

  1. This will not give any symphaty from Muslims, when they will attack Jews in Britain. And it will not give them any sympathy of the british neither. Since muslims cause only trouble, incite violence and demand more and more submission from the Europeans. This will in the long term further escalate the European Jew-hatred, which is on the rise. And it is on the rise because of the Jews that promote multiculturalism, tha failed in Europe due to the mass-immigration. Jews will be hold responsible for the action of a few idiots.

  2. When will there be Moslem patrols protecting synagogues and Jews? Don't hold your breath!

  3. Adnan Sadiq says:

I like how you took an article about unity and progression and put such an ignorant, misinformed and totally stupid caption. People like you are the reason why hate and misunderstanding is so prominent in the world. I hope you find the brain cells to realize that constantly hating on other peoples religions and blaming a whole religion based on a few peoples misguided actions is not healthy. jackass…

  4. Adnan Sadiq says:

and to quote your own words " Since muslims cause only trouble, incite violence and demand more and more submission from the Europeans."… are you not doing EXACTLY what you claim muslims do…like inciting violence and causing trouble?????

  5. hey Adnan Sadiq.
Who are the haters in this world?
If the Muslims would stop their hatred of Jews, and start to show respect and stop teaching their children to hate Jews, but you must rmember that children are born with love, and taught to hate, jst as you did when you were bor and taught as a child to hate
Without hatred from the Muslims, there could have been peace in the Middle East as well as in most of the world.
If the Muslims would stop their lies about Israel, then the peace could be achieved..

  6. Jon Trolkins says:

Actually, Muslims have already protected Jews in the past from the Nazis and the Christians in the Crusades.

  8. just to milk money from the false hope that the muslim shall overcome fear from the money lenders who take big money from the richest clan and give it to poor claiming the tith from both rich and poor.
